My artmaking involves pyrography, using controlled heat and flame of a fine-tipped tools to burn intricate designs directly into wood. Each piece is one of a kind; shaped by your ideas, my artistry and the warm character of the timber itself. I also work with traditional media including pastels, watercolour and acrylics, should this suit your project.
Costs include materials and my artist fee for the time, skill, and care that go into bringing your vision to life. Commissions are created on your choice of pine panel or camphor laurel timber. I personally favour camphor laurel wood for its gorgeous aesthetic character, and also being that it is a locally-sourced, sustainable option. You are also very welcome to provide your own special piece of timber (I'll just need to check it's suitable) or I can help you source alternate woods if preferred.
If you have a project in mind beyond these standard sizes, please email me directly to discuss and I can provide you with a personalised quote.
